thoughts upon a tree
Will I ever ever see
a poem leafy as a tree?
Roots so deep & trunk so knotty?
Information here is spotty.
Xylem! Phloem! Beetles roem!
Peckers peck (could these be critics?)
Moss is students incomprendo
Totality is muy stupendo!
One feature poem & tree DO share:
When burnt they heat and warm the lair
(but put CO2 in the sky up there).

GM might be necessary
Gives me hives just thinking about it
We knew the old man
he didn't have the chops
out on the beach
hanging around the
topless lifeguard
whenever her boyfriend
had to work
seafood breath, not like he
ate it, more like he was it
never got a good look
at his feet in his tacky
flip-flop shoes
coat of broken snaps
cop said he must live
somewhere around here
always moving
he looked homeless
he looked more than homeless
he looked planetless
something about the way he
vibrated when he walked
made you wonder
if he ever talked his way
into some girl's pants
what her kid would look like anyway.

nanofic too long for twitter
Now that he held the Nasal Stud of Power, ripped from the Dark Lord in the clinch of battle, only a self- administered emergency piercing separated him from global domination. He had always hated needles.

chopped up prose
it was a simple matter
take a wrench to a few genes here
a regulatory complex there
oh
and adding the bit
about digesting concrete
and brick
then we turned the termites loose
and megalopolis trembled
