I can't turn off this feature,
your genome's faded, it's true,
more than a few breaks; I'm lucky
I have the whole thing to work with,
but just when I get it right and send it to the life printer
I see a few base pairs changing,
an allele "corrected" here and there,
some shit like that,
and instead of your beautiful big-head form,
dainty two-clawed grippers,
I get some galumphing goof,
40 tons of meat,
sad eyes, 5 stories up,
and a jabberwockian mess,
everywhere you go.
