Our colony didn't have much trouble
with the natives, such as they were
little blobby things
oozing along, blind as bats
almost felt sorry for them
when they were gone

If this alien biosphere
had invented arthropods
or anything like them
armed and armored
fast and clever
well, that would be a different story
