Arbor Day Dance Recital

At its most frenetic,

tree dance is glacial;

a recital lasts 30 days or more.

It’s graceful, powerful;

at the height of passion

they shimmy, if you like.

The art is “moving,” I’m sure,

but I can’t stay awake

to the end of a single piece,

so I’ll never know:

what does it all mean?
