one summer in my teens
walking a mile or so
up the west side of the Park
the museum of natural history
worlds and worlds of the past
on display and you never had to pay
I haven't been back in years
my memory is mingled
with the Smithsonian
also on a park
where I worked as a volunteer
the following year
its Yat coin and ground sloth skeleton
museums aren't perfect
but they're the best we've got
