MINI REVIEW

Mutant, by Henry Kuttner, is starting slowly. Given the author, my hopes are high. This is the 2nd of 3 old SF pbs I bought last month.

The Eskimo Invasion (Hayden Howard) was pretty interesting, & picked up a lot in the 2nd half, though I found the ending uninspired. Or maybe that kind of 60s ending was almost inevitable for this 1967 book. Anyway, a refreshing take on alien invasion, plenty of twists & turns, while keeping up the tension throughout. 3/5 stars.
