Science education in Tuscaloosa

Great meeting Ann Reid and learning about strategies for effective science education, such as developing local community support groups, and putting young scientists in the classroom to help science teachers teach about evolution and climate change. If you want to get involved in this kind of program, visit the National Center for Science Education at ncse.com.. Good to see a local teacher I know at the lecture, and to meet a student who used to have a hyphenated name. Next ALLELE lecture Feb. 23: Michael Anderson on brain evolution.
