I have been invited to be the featured poet in the February 2020 issue of Scifaikuest.  This is pretty exciting! But it engenders what I used to consider a morbid thought, but now I consider a realistic one. Will I be around then? The answer to that question is to submit a sufficient number of poems as soon as possible and try to get the interview done soon as well. Just in case. If I was superstitious, I would infer that taking these precautions would protect me. Sadly, I am not superstitious at all.. Which brings to mind something an old friend, who was in a similar health situation to mine, but for a different reason, used to say: "live each day as if it is your last." Of course, many people have said this, so many that it is trite. But it is also good advice.
