color covers for Star*line

Color covers for Star*line

Last summer I put out a call for donations to pay for color covers on Star*line. We received enough money to pay for covers through the end of 2012. I think the artists who have adorned the magazine with their artwork have done a stunning job. The first impression a magazine makes comes from its cover. Thanks to the skill, generosity, and talent of artists like Kelli Hoppmann and Franco Brambilla, Star*line has looked better than ever before. You can see all the covers at
http://sfpoetry.com/sl/slarchive.html.

We couldn't afford to pay for color if we had to do so out of the SFPA's income. Instead, color covers have been paid for by: anonymous, Kendall Evans, Robert Frazier, David Larson, and David Lunde. Thank you all! It's been great, but our color-cover fund will run out with the calendar year 2012. If you would like us to continue using color covers, and can afford to donate towards that end, please do. It costs about $100 to put color on a single issue, but you don't have to donate that much. Whatever you can afford is what we'd be pleased to receive. Also, you can
donate anonymously, in your own name, in the name of your press, or however you choose. Please send PayPal donations to SFPATreasurer@gmail.com or mail a check made out to SFPA to SFPA, PO Box 4846, Covina CA 91723. Please tell us that your donation is to pay for color covers, and state what name should be acknowledged.
