a week in da life

A week of strange weather. Strange in the sense that the meteorologists got their predictions wrong every day. It was colder, or hotter, or drier, or wetter, than they thought it would be. Usually they are either pretty accurate or consistently wrong in a common direction. Still, I have only seen house finches at the bird feeder. The native birds take longer to discover such things, which is probably why house finches infest the place in such numbers. The cat needs to get on the stick! Mahonia, much better known as grape holly, is in full bloom, but despite warm weather, the spring plants are not yet active. Could it be they have already gotten used to the deceptively warm weeks that we now have scattered all through the winter? An annoying week at work. A manuscript came back requiring many many changes. It's going to be a lot of work. Fortunately, I found lots of other things to do instead! My office is cleaner and things are more organized, for instance.
