National Fossil Day

The UA Museums will hold a National Fossil Day event from 4-6pm on October 16th, 2013. The Paleontology collections will have specimens from the collections on exhibit, the UA Dept. of Engineering will be demonstrating how 3-D scanning and printing can be used with fossils, we will be unveiling the new Elasmosaur specimen collected this summer in Greene County, and there will be a talk and book signing by author Jim Lacefield on his new book "Lost Worlds in Alabama Rocks" at 6pm.
