Journey to the Center of the Earth includes massive quantities of geology and paleontology that are now known to be utter nonsense. Nevertheless, it's worth reading for its historical importance, and some parts are quite chilling (getting lost underground) or fascinating (especially the descriptions of a now-vanished society).
