The Upchuckiest

It wasn't really. In fact, it could have been a lot worse. We had 10 people here and so far only three got a debilitating intestinal virus that kept them in bed or worse for between one and two days. Of course, it started with the hostess. So a lot of things didn't get done. As soon as she got better, another person got sick and missed lots of the fun. as soon as she got better, someone else got sick. He had to go home a day late and missed a day of work. And miss lots of the fun that he wouldn't have had because he would've been driving home anyway.

If we were catching it from each other, then the incubation period is very short, and the rest of us probably escaped. If we were already incubating the virus when we gathered, then the other seven people have a lot to look forward to. Happy, happy, joy, joy.

So far, the only thing unintentionally left behind was a set of three matching cat food bowls. But the week is yet young.
