103015

About 2/3 of the way through rereading Saberhagen's Dracula series. Still holds up well after decades. And more seasonally appropriate than the rain we expect tomorrow. Then again, who trick-or-treats anymore? Walking 2 miles in the dark, unsupervised, still young enough to look forward all year to The Candy. We went everywhere, except to the house of that old man no one knew, with its long palisade of trees, and who knows what hideous aberrations in the house. Nothing was worth going to that door! Mom insisted on checking the apples, which didn't interest me anyway, for razors.
