the plant
somehow it survived
my absence of several months
I didn't make provision
for its protection
yet it lost only a few leaves
not its life
so who watered it?
I haven't asked.
neighbor, boss, plant lover
brownie,alien,time traveler?
does it have mutant powers?
maybe it's the source
of every misfortune I've endured
dare I let it live?
dare I try to do anything else?
I'm scared.
