To doomsayers I cry "Pfaugh!"
I'm sure a few will survive
in the Antarctic
on remote mountaintops
perhaps
if not, there are millions of species
in the world, we can't
expect to extinguish every one
sea-floor bacteria, cockroaches,
cyanobacteria, mold, lichen
the earth may retain quite a diverse ecosystem
if not, whatever:
over the next few billion years
things may come together
we'll start again

not really we, but something
