What to do when the gateway to the abyss yawns wide


1. If it is in your backyard, leave home. Don't take time to pack.
2. If you have a personal connection to highly placed denizens, contact them now.
3. Propitiate any gods who you have previously  worshiped. Now is not the time to begin, but it is better late than never.
4. Don't bother selling your assets, unless you can exchange them for food or weapons.
5. Abandoned hope now; it won't be an asset.
