Ooid grainstone. Large ooid in center grew, lay on the surface a while, and then was reactivated. Note two generations of cement: early marine pore rimming cement and later freshwater pore filling cement. Mississippian Bangor Limestone, thin-section photomicrograph, 2.5 mm field of view.
