On the minus side, our house was not transported, bodily and intact, to the land of Oz. On the plus side, the tornado that hit our city did not hit us and, apparently, did not kill anyone. Other tornadoes that hit the state of Alabama today killed at least two people and, I assume, a fair amount of damage. I saw a traffic cam picture of people driving down a 6-lane street during a tornado warning in a torrential downpour. Good way to become a statistic. Nothing is more important than taking care of yourself when the weather gets bad — please do that, people. Yes, in these times of extreme climate change, tornado season is 12 months long.
