honks its horn

we queue up
for the intestinal ride
work is calling
I hear it from the lake
we are cleaning the gills this week
wearing a wetsuit all day
it doesn't all pay the same
but any plankton we find
we get to eat
just one of the perks

I like not having to bring a lunch
they squirm so in my pocket
