Relativistic Boilerplate

When you return to Earth,
don’t expect to recognize it,
you can probably find the planet;
count out from the primary
(tho they may move Venus
to a more hospitable orbit),
The shapes of continents
may not have changed much,
but the closer you look,
the more things seem changed:
the fads will be new,
nothing about what skin shows,
or how it is adorned;
identifying people at all
may be hard,
there may be too many or too few,
some that seem the most human
may be nothing more than ads
for personal-care products,
the few remaining wild types,
like yourself, may all be in zoos
or museums, if those still exist;
such differences as these
may be the most familiar things
about your former home.
