Deserted streets:
Alien invasion (me the only survivor)?
Holiday I’ve forgotten
and everybody left town?
Hurricane coming—total evacuation?
(blue sky says no)
Deadly plague?
I turn the corner
and hit my brakes.
River of red tail lights
as far as I can see.
