God said wing it,
but it was too late
for the cool dinosaurs,
with bony crests, six-inch fangs,
neck frills and other adornments.

Since then, it’s been nothing
but cheep and hop,
peck and caw,
and a measly three meters
is all the height they’ve managed;
even mammals have topped that!
