Inktober is for artists, consisting of daily prompts to encourage them to draw or make something everyday. One year I decided to write short poems every day for Inktober, but the problem is that I write poems almost every day anyway. Perhaps I could do it for National Novel Writing Month, next month, but the same objection applies. The rest of my family are visual artists, but only one of them is participating this year. For her it is a good exercise, because she doesn't make art every day as a general rule.
