How did I stay busy all day long? I just now had time to look at social media for the first time today. I did read a little bit of Algernon Blackwood early this morning, but that's like a morning cup of coffee. Everyone should! Blackwood was one of the best early 20th century writers of dark fantasy fiction. The book I'm reading is called The Face of the Earth and other Imaginings, and it consists of stories and other material that has not been reprinted anywhere else. It includes some of his earliest published stories, and it is fun to compare those to the classics like The Willows and The Wendigo. The latter was used by many later Mythos writers, such as Brian Lumley, as a jumping-off point for their own stories.
