Two things this morning. First, the good news. I am co-editor with Miguel Mitchell of the 2023 Dwarf Stars anthology. This is a voting tool of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association. The volume contains the best short speculative poetry published in 2022. By short, I mean 10 lines are fewer, or 100 words or fewer for prose poetry. All members of the SFPA can nominate, and nominations are already coming in. I'm looking forward to reading some gems, but not so much having to winnow them down to what will fit in the volume.
Now for the bad news. My wheelchair didn't charge last night, because the charger socket is whacked. It's been a recurrent problem for months. I finally got somebody out to look at it about a week ago (it took that long to get approval). He said that it needed to be replaced, but until that happens, it's an adventure whenever it gets plugged in in the evening. Today, I don't know how long I can go before it has to be plugged in with me sitting in it. It can't go anywhere when it's plugged in.
UPDATE: the charger's connection to its power cord had gotten loose. Something I can't check, but it was an easy fix.
