to earthquake activity:
where, when, who felt it and who didn't,
how deep, how strong,
whether there might be a tsunami,
that's how the US Geological Survey
serves the public through their earthquake web page,
leaving to others to individualize
the horror, the homelessness,
the dead and the prurient
photos of them,
though I have to admit that after
that tsunami devastated
Japan, I watched those videos;
you couldn't see the people in cars
shoved like Lego blocks
by an inexorable tide.
