Schrodinger's Gift
We fought over nothing,
or I can't remember what.
Since that night,
wine dripping on my shirt,
I've been conflicted:
hate/love,
olive branch/all-out war.
No contact for so long,
now, out of the blue,
this box,
your graceful hand—
“Open on Valentine's.”
Dare I?
