Working as a caregiver in home health is a seller's market. You get little respect, little pay, and no benefits, but you don't have to be punctual or reliable in any way. You won't lose your job because there's no one to take your place. The surprise is that many people in this position are exemplary workers, dedicated to helping others. If they were routinely properly compensated, there would probably be somebody here to get me out of bed this morning.
