When we moved away from Tuscaloosa, and the house we lived in for 30 years, we completely forgot about the secret compartment we built into the bookcase that fills a former doorway. You can't open it without removing books from the bottom shelf, but we took those books. Neither of us remembers what we left in the secret compartment. It wasn't anything of note, but what I wonder is, will any subsequent tenants find it, and will they use it? I would hate for it to go to waste.
