If elephants can recognize each other, and call each other by name, which is now clearly the case, they can probably recognize people too. if that's true, they show remarkable forbearance.
Crows recognize people, and are quick to show their displeasure. And they are quick to show trust where it is deserved. Also, since they can do that, they probably recognize and have names for each other. What other species can do the same? Are people with face blindness less intelligent than crows? Do some crows have face blindness? And given all that we know so far about these things, what about whales and porpoises?
