A number of speculative poets have written micropoems based on the Periodic Table of the Elements. These include Mary Soon Lee, Wendy Van Camp, and Miguel O. Mitchell. Brian Garrison has a book of micropoems about planets instead of elements. The oldest I know of was a community effort about 23 years ago (follow the above link). It's an idea that seems to have enduring appeal! (I'm thinking of jumping in.)
