Read, almost in one sitting, Kim Harrison's latest novel of Rachel Morgan & the Hollows: "The Undead Pool." 4/5 stars. Have you wondered how deities fit in Rachel's world? You will find out in a story every bit as gripping as its predecessors.
particles perforate Flatland
you can't see Cleveland
nor reach it
nor traverse its former site
going around what no longer is
GPS goes nuts
teens get high
shut eyes & drive
missing persons
out the wazoo
universe lightens its load

Reading "Ever After," by Kim Harrison, latest in a series of paranormal romance/buttkicking novels. Like the Dresden Files, but with better characterization. Rachel Morgan is a witch who consorts with vampires, werewolves, pixies, fairies, humans, elves, and demons. What? No kitchen sink, you say? It works, and works well. This might become a stay up all night to finish it book.
I guess I still have to write a poem.
Gardens are brown,
Holly is green,
The yard by my van
Is as wet as I've seen.
Doggerel doesn't count?
Robot fundamentalists
copying yourself
destroys your soul
one drive, one life
these cultists, more
transient than humans were.
