My favorite new author

New to me, anyway. Ben Aaronovitch, "Rivers of London," first in a series. The Thames has a queen; tributaries have princesses. London has ghosts, vampires, monsters. Two cops are all the Met can spare to deal with everything supernatural. They have a lot of trouble coming. Reminds me of Tim Powers, of Neil Gaiman, & a bit of Kim Harrison. There are apparently already 6 sequels, so if this strikes you as it does me, you are in luck. If you like dark fantasy, you owe it to yourself to read this book.
