could have been a god,
rolling
out worlds
so
smooth and fine,
patting
them and shaping them,
spheroidal
as you please,
baking
them to perfection
in
the celestial oven, seeding them
with
water and organic goodness, but
BAM!
My
suns kept exploding,
every
… single ... time,
and
after I'd burned up
three
top-dollar test kitchens
I
was expelled.
That's
why I'm shoveling neutrons
on
this collapsar for a living,
and
pawing through second-hand
comets
and asteroids,
looking
for bargains.
