Evolution lecture tonight in Tuscaloosa

Carl Zimmer, 7:30 PM, North Lawn Hall on the University of Alabama campus, free and open to the public

I can't remember how long we have been doing this, but we bring six top-notch researchers to Tuscaloosa every year. In recent years we have approached gender parity of speakers and have been doing a better job of reaching out to minorities. The number and variety of excellent speakers out there is incredible, and we already have a few tentatively lined up for next year.

I hope to see some of you tonight. This is the first time we have used the North Lawn Hall auditorium, but I scouted the place out, and it looks pretty nice. Parking is problematic at the university now, but I think at night you can park just about anywhere, and it is not a home football game weekend
