Carving the Thanksgiving roast
Thinking what I’ve got to be thankful for
This juicy algal mass, almost crispy
Just the way you liked it
Before Covid, when you could taste and smell
And a roof over our heads
What more do we need?
Speaking of which, be sure to save
The scraps for poor June and Will
They won't have to share a rat
Like last year.
