You can lead a Blurg to methane, but you can't make it suck. I look up at the god at the sky and pray to its belted immensity that this stupid animal will just stick its siphon in the sea and get it over with. I'm sure people on other planets don't have this kind of troublesome beast to contend with!

an infinitude of icy moonlets
from a distance they look like solid rings
growing up, we'd go clod hopping
hunting the critters that live out there
we'd get 10 credits for a pelt
what they could do to a zero-G farm
beauty in destruction
sometimes we'd float and watch them
go to town on a field of space lettuce
but we wanted the money more
