Obviously, humans are not immigrants from off world. We are genetically too much like most other life on this planet to come to any other rational conclusion. But our ancestors were: Fred Hoyle was right. Life does begin on a planet when it arrives via meteor or simply floating in space. Where and when did the ur-life of this universe originate? Who wants to know?

Green Revolution
Panspermatic
seeds land on so many airless worlds
wait patiently for spacebeings
to track them in on boots
in the warm moist ships
they germinate and crawl
into crevices to hide
pretty soon vines
are packed inside the walls
twining around
power-transmission systems
growing fat and squeezing
something has to give
but someone may find this derelict
packed with seeds, some day
another one bites the dust
