8 days hospital-free. Starry Day Who knew the late-blooming clematis, gift from a "friend," would grow so fast? Rivaling kudzu in its voracious consumption of land, it blankets yard and garden with abandon. The mock orange bush: where is it? Sorry; been busy today. Also still firing w only abt half my cylinders. It's cool, though: abt 65F when I got up. 80s & sunny now. Just about perfect, & supposed to last all week.

fall is our season
spring too, with different flowers
and shorter vines

By the way, I know that some of the short poems I post here aren't technically haiku. But that's the most familiar name. The Haiku Society of America (http://www.hsa-haiku.org/) can tell you more, if you're interested.

fog washes everything out
dimming yard, neighbors' house
red leaves on a post
too close for obscurity
glow like Christmas
already drenching stores
